Applied online. Had a phone screen w/ hiring manager a few days later. Unprofessional call. After talking her through my background and skills, the conversation shifted to various topics outside of myself and the role - which would have been fine had she not then asked me to send her a letter listing out my accomplishments and experience since she didn’t take any notes during our chat. As a recruiter, I take the time to listen to my candidates and even ask for clarity, if needed, to make sure I jot down all of the amazing things they’ve done so I could create a strong sell to the hiring manager. The Diversity Recruiting Leader could not be bothered to do that. I didn’t move forward in the process. Couldn’t get a straight answer when talking to her about salary for the role. Why would I move forward in a process where I can’t receive a confirmation of whether or not my salary expectations could be met? Again, it started out great but she got much too comfortable and seemed to have forgotten the purpose of our call.
