I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen (Hong Kong) in Oct 2020
Interview
Applied for an entry level position. I don't remember exactly what it was since it has been a while. I think it was something either related to client management or industry research. The important point to note is that they primarily do work on the FMCG sector in HK.
Anyway, a recruiter called me in the first round, told me what the job was offering (I think it was 17k HKD per month), and basically wanted to get an idea of what I was looking for, why I applied. This was essentially a screening round.
In the next round, there were a set of automated questions like you get from hireview, though I don't remember if it was that provider. Questions like "what would you do in these situations" etc.
The last round I got, which I think is either the second last, or the last, was a case study. I was given two ppts in 30-60 minutes in advance, then was asked to complete them. For the first ppt, you just have to spot mistakes in a deck. For the second ppt, you have to read the information then present it to two associates.
I think the presentation is fairly standard, just interpret the data and then present. For preparation, I did IR on the GMAT, and it was quite similar.
The challenging part was that I was asked to do this in cantonese, and since it's like my third language, it didn't go that well. They told me they would call me back, but did not.
I would say if you don't speak Cantonese well, don't apply, since it seems most of the clients are local.
