      Anonymous Interview

      Oct 4, 2019

      No offer

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen

      Interview

Was referred by a high ranking/high earning person who worked at the company. Got a phone screener, then an in person with the 2 people I would be reporting to/working for. Everything was moving along. Then I got feedback that they curiously couldn't decide what to do next so they were going to have us (the final candidates) do a project. Project was vague but I took the time to put it together. Submitted the project, got no feedback, no response to follow up, and then a few weeks later got an automated email saying I wasn't getting the job. Not getting the job is one thing, but the lack of communication and follow up was unprofessional, especially since I had a high ranking referral. If this is how Nielsen treats candidates who are referred, imagine how they probably treat candidates who aren't referred. Proceed with caution

      Interview

One of the worst companies I’ve dealt with. Much emphasis is placed on pymetric assessments - The latest trend with HR techniques. BTW no self-respecting psychologist would endorse these tests. Based on my experience, theY NEED TO take a closer look at the assessment used to hire their HR people.
