      Communication Manager Interview

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen

      Interview

I applied online and after 2 weeks, the hiring manager reached out for a phone interview. We had a really good conversation and she asked really unique questions so I was pretty excited to possibly move forward. The next day, another recruiter she was working with reached out and said she’d like to set me up with an interview with the person I’d be potentially reporting to. They wanted to move fast in hiring so I liked how the communication was going at first with the recruiter. After the first interview, the recruiter reached out the second day and we confirmed a time for the second interview. The second interview happened and I realized that everyone wasn’t really asking about my experience, but just wanting to see if I would get along with them and their team, which I found interesting. The recruiter reached out for a third interview and I asked her what the rest of the interview process would look like and she reassured me that there would be one more interview and they would plan to give an offer by the following week. The third interview went well and the recruiter reached out about setting up the final interview, possibly for that same day. This told me that I had a good chance of getting the offer if they were eager to set up the final interview that same day. I gave my availability and the recruiter never responded back. The next day, I followed up to make sure she received my availability and I let her know I’m still interested in the opportunity and again, no response. The rest of the week went by and communication with the recruiter went from daily to absolutely nothing. I’m pretty sure they gave an offer to someone else, which is fine, but to make it to the final interview round only to get ghosted is extremely disrespectful and plain disappointing for a communication based role, especially when it was 4 weeks of my time spent prepping and researching as well. I would have been fine with receiving an email saying another candidate was chosen or I didn’t make it to the next round, but I was ignored and didn’t receive any communication. This company needs to do better with their recruiters.
