Interview
Virtual interview with HR rep on Google Meet. Interview began there minutes late and lasted about 27 minutes. Interviewer was clearly working from home and wore a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. Her cat walked across the screen three times. A dog could be heard barking in the background. It was unprofessional. Interviewer, seemed distracted, answering texts or slack messages, and seemed not to have full knowledge of the position. I was not asked any direct questions about my experience or what I could bring to the role. The interviewer did give me a seven minute overview of the company structure and recent staffing changes. I was asked about salary expectations, which had previously been disclosed as part of the application process. And then the interview ended. But the interview was never about me, it was about the interviewer.
