I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Noble Schools (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2013
Interview
Informal interview with principal in which you are expected to answer some very up-front questions about yourself. Sample teach, which may or may not be at the school for which you intend to interview.
Call with a recruiter, call with principals of hiring campuses (which is pretty much all of them), demo, then tour building(s), and get an offer. Everything was straight forward and pretty easy-going. They are pretty desperate for teachers so I don't think they want it to be too challenging.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When was a time you had a difficult interaction with a student/how did you handle it
Two rounds of interviews. First one is swift and they connect you to schools within their network. Second interview is with the school where they ask you about your teaching.
The process was very straightforward. There was an online application that had some essay questions and you need three references. The next step is phone interviews. The principals were very professional and kind.
