The interview process has taken me two weeks (so far). Actual time spent interviewing has been about 4 hours so far. When I first was contacted by Noom, they outlined a 3 part interview with an initial phone call, then a mock coaching trial, and finally a video chat. I rearranged my schedule for each event. The mock coaching took 2.5 hours alone and the person on the other end (the interviewer) was busy so he wasn't very attentive. Everyone seemed pretty nice. After my final video call, I received an email saying that someone would call me the following Monday to talk about the "next interview steps", even though I had allegedly completed everything. They did not get back to me to schedule the time, a first since the start of the interview process. On that Monday I received an email telling me that they were done hiring for that position for now, and that they would resume my interview process eventually. All told, I had 5 points of contact, and it was extremely disorganized. When I wrote back to inquire about the lack of phone call and what their position hiring freeze meant, not a single person got back to me. I will be following up with anyone I can find in the company who would be willing to address my concerns with respect.

After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.
