I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Noom in Jan 2018
Interview
My background is in Health and Physical Education. I am currently a Health Educator that works with the local school districts on how to make schools a healthier place.
1st. I had a phone interview and they just asked basic questions. Tell me about yourself, why do you want to work for Noom, etc. Very basic and felt good about it.
2nd. I had a mock client and was coaching them through the app. The client was a woman who wanted to lose 50 lbs but had a very busy life. I felt like it went well cause I was positive the whole time and offered a lot of alternatives. They told me I would hear back with next steps.
Sent my follow up email.
Few days later I get an email saying they are moving on for better candidates. Not quite sure where it went wrong. Very frustrating.
The interview process goes in multiple rounds. First, an online application, then a mock coaching interview where you coach a client, finally, a video interview with a member of the hiring team.
Several interviewers, standard questions. Be prepared to explain your work history as a health coach and why you are a good fit for the position. There is an eschelon of interviews around 3.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you interested in job? Previous health coach work?
POOR. Sucked. The interviewer seemed very young and ageist. It seems like this girl would have rather been looking at her phone and responding to texts than interviewing someone for a job position—worst experience ever!!
