I was scheduled for a three hour virtual interview with Noom for their health coaching role. I cleared my schedule and adjusted my day to fit in this lengthy interview. I was first told to complete a "mock coaching session" with a extremely difficult and quite honestly, unrealistic client via text on the Noom app. I have experience in health coaching, and no one is that difficult during a coaching session. I highly doubt this is a "typical" person that a health coach deals with everyday. After providing plenty of options for this "client" and being extremely flexible and accommodating with a newcomer to the idea of weight loss, I was told that was the end of the interview after one hour. After clearing my schedule for three hours, preparing for the interview, I was not even given a chance to speak with or see a person from Noom to introduce myself or ask questions about the mock coaching session. After a few days I received a run of the mill rejection letter and no explanation or feedback. HIGHLY disappointed in this company, and their interview process. Not even a chance to speak with them after being told this interview would be three hours and to prepare for a face-to-face meeting?! Come on. You can't judge potential hires by an unrealistic mock coaching session with an incredibly difficult client for one hour over text.
