I applied online. I interviewed at Noom in Aug 2018
Interview
Quick reply to resume.
* Online questionnaire about how you would coach certain situations. Upload 60 second video about your coaching style
* Next, a combination video chat for 10 minutes then a 60 minute mock coaching session. Nice chat. Was told while NOOM was psychology based, they do not deal with clients with emotional eating issues. Was told up front after the mock session i would be done for the day because the talent team would need time to review the transcript of my coaching session. So much for clearing schedule for 3 hours.
* Summary: Mock scenario is a woman who magically wants to lose 50lbs without doing or changing anything. Additionally, she ABSOLUTELY had emotional eating issues...as well as some other issues. I began positive, flexible and encouragingly. Eventually, I handled her as I would in my real life coaching...supportive, positive but also being firm...eventually tough love and asking for a commitment on the smallest of change. If a real client still resisted, I would refer out for professional counseling The session ended exactly in 60 minutes. Was told thank you and someone would be in touch. Very dissapointed there was no post session chat to review the senerio. Needless to say, Ive never heard back.
I think the concept of what Noom is doing is very clever. However, i agree with other posters being confused about what they are looking for. Additionally, I sense this is a high client volume position where your time is divided between dozens of clients at the same time, so the ability to multi task, under stress and time constrains are a must. Not an issue for me but wonder about turn over

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you interested in job? Previous health coach work?
POOR. Sucked. The interviewer seemed very young and ageist. It seems like this girl would have rather been looking at her phone and responding to texts than interviewing someone for a job position—worst experience ever!!
