If they like your resume, they contact you and request a video on why you would be a good coach. And also you must answer three timed questions in writing. Then they ask you to do a short interview on Zoom, along with a mock coaching session. This part was so unprofessionally done. The interviewer acted like she didn't want to be there. Asked me one vague question (see below) and gave very fast, sometimes rambling answers that often went off course. She was unfriendly and not at all professional. In fact, she couldn't answer the simplest of questions about how they worked regarding routine and a typical day. I couldn't even get a straight answer about whether the position was full-time or not. The mock coaching session, done on a Google doc was absurd. She played the client and gave ridiculously hostile responses. I've worked as a coach before, and even the most stubborn of clients never came close to behaving like this. I understand why they would throw a difficult client at you with the mock coaching, but it was done too soon in the process. The preparation for it is lacking. They don't provide info on their food groups or their process in overcoming objections. To add insult to injury, their pay is laughable. At $15/hr, they obviously aren't looking for real professionals, which may account for why many of their clients have provided reviews stating they thought they were 'chatting' with a robot. Now I know why they thought that; I believe my interview was with one of those robots. This job is done all through writing. There is no face-to-face, so I began to wonder why it was important to them to have a Zoom/Skype "interview" that ended up being no interview at all. Are they judging people on age? race? Who knows. But it was a strange process. I haven't heard back from them; but if I do, I will decline.
