I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Noom (Las Vegas, NV) in Sep 2019
Interview
I submitted my resume and cover letter and received an email that Noom would like to move forward with a timed coaching questionnaire that asked how you would respond to different coaching scenarios and a 1 minute video of why I think I'd be a good fit for the role. You had 25 minutes to answer the 4 questions.
After I submitted my video I received an email the next morning saying they were interested in moving forward with a mock coaching interview via Google Doc's, and a "face to face" interview with a Noom interviewing coach. The mock coaching went well, although it ended abruptly with a message saying that the mock coaching interview had ended. I was 45 minutes into a 60 minute coaching session so I thought maybe I did something wrong since there was no explanation or feedback. I was happy to receive an email within the day saying that I did well during the mock coaching session and I scheduled an interview with a real employee via Zoom. She was really nice and we had a great chat! I left the interviewing process feeling really confident and thought the process ran smoothly, and feedback was provided promptly.
When the interviewing process was over I received an email saying that the full-time positions were already filled, but I was next in queue for the next hiring round which was going to be in the "near future". It was the end of September when I completed the interviewing process and I received and accepted an offer first week of October!
Advice I would give to anyone who applies is to be yourself, don't stress out too much, and research the company and reviews online.
The interview process goes in multiple rounds. First, an online application, then a mock coaching interview where you coach a client, finally, a video interview with a member of the hiring team.
Several interviewers, standard questions. Be prepared to explain your work history as a health coach and why you are a good fit for the position. There is an eschelon of interviews around 3.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why are you interested in job? Previous health coach work?
POOR. Sucked. The interviewer seemed very young and ageist. It seems like this girl would have rather been looking at her phone and responding to texts than interviewing someone for a job position—worst experience ever!!
