The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Scottsdale, AZ) in Jun 2011
Interview
I will preface this by saying that I have worked for Nordstrom during summers off from school as well as on a permanent basis.
I applied for a position in 2011. acted within maybe 2 days for schedule an interview. I had a phone interview with an HR rep. She asked me questions like "How do you reach your sales goals?" and "How do you define great customer service?". They are wanting to make sure that you will reach or exceed any sales goals that are given to you by your supervisor. They also want to make sure you will go "above and beyond" to make a customer happy as this is the Nordstrom way.
I ultimately did not get the position. I suspect that it was because I did not sell enough during my last stint at Nordstrom which was during the economic hardships of 2008 when customers were not shopping.
