I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2014
Interview
The interview process was very quick and to the point. They provide a lot of information on the job at hand. I felt really comfortable during the process. It was a 1 on 1 interview in a closed office.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Applied online and got a response in a couple days asking me to come in for an interview. Before the interview you have to do a series of online tasks which includes an online simulation of what work would be like, scoring the accuracy of how you can listen to calls and process the information along with juggling incoming emails/messages. The interview was with a Supervisor and the Training & Development Manager, they wanted to explain the job requirements, schedule, and technical requirements first off. Most of the questions were trying to find out how I deal with stress or troublesome clients. At the end they leave the room for a couple minutes and give you a short written test. Really simple questions, how do you deal with stress, when's the last time you dealt with a difficult customer, what's your dream job.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
I was first interviewed over the phone. It was an easy phone interview where I just had to explain my background. Then, I was invited into the office for an in-person interview. It was a friendly, easy-going interview, but still serious. There were two representatives that interviewed me, one of the three department managers as well as one of the five or six supervisors. They asked about three or four questions and then moved on to ask me if I had any questions. I was required to take two quizzes during process. One quiz was before the in-person interview and it was a simulation on the customer service software you'd be using. The second quiz was during the in-person interview focusing on attention to deal; i.e. remembering the interviewer's name.
