I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom
Interview
Applied online. Got an email back 1-2 days later to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview was short, basically asked about availability and why i wish to work there. They had me schedule an in-person interview a few days later. The overall difficulty of the interview in person was intermediate- some questions can really make you think. This is definitely a place where they want to see that you are very familiar with customer service and working in teams. It didn't last long, and at the end if it we just took a short tour of the store. I was told that i would get a call back again after all the interviews were done with but i never did, which is fine with me personally but otherwise if someone else really wants this job you must follow up!! they may forget about you i guess
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe an experience where you had to go above and beyond for a customer
Very causal, less than 20 minutes. The manager asked very general questions about my work style, ability to work with others, and times when I’ve managed difficulty in the work environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Burbank, CA) in Feb 2021
Interview
They call you over the phone and ask you to explain your employment history. The interview seemed very rush and they did not call on time scheduled. They asked pretty basic questions otherwise.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Bellevue, WA)
Interview
A lot of behavioral questions. This may not be necessary, but it may be nice to brush up on a few brands within the department you're applying for. In terms of attire, dress in something that shows off your style, nothing too professional.
