I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Nov 2011
Interview
This position was for the Designer Handbag department. Applied online and got a phone call a few days later to set up an interview. First interview was with someone from HR. Typical retail/customer service interview questions, nothing too difficult. I thought the interview went very well; the interviewer seemed very professional and interested in me. She set up an interview for the following day with the Department Manager. The manager was about 15 minutes late and did not apologize or even acknowledge it, which I thought was odd. Would not have really cared except I was left awkwardly standing alone in the handbag department waiting for her. This interview was similar to the first...asked typical customer service interview questions. Then she brought me back downstairs and picked a handbag and asked me to "sell" it to her. She seemed happy and told me I did a very good job, and said she would call me by tomorrow, however I never heard back at all.
