I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Overland Park, KS) in Nov 2019
Interview
I submitted my application online, and was contacted by a manager within the week. The interview was fairly laid back, I just walked in to the store met my interviewer in a specified department. I was asked about my customer service and hospitality experience, and given a run down of what would be expected of me and how I was to dress. I was hired on the spot and started training within 10 days.
Phone interview with someone from internal HR / recruiting. Only lasted about 10-15 minutes. They share details about the position, ask for your preferences in terms of store location, hours, etc. Phone interviewer only asked me one question. If interview goes well they will ask to setup an in-person interview at the store location of your choice.
