I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Aug 2014
Interview
Interview process was quick and easy. Was contacted a few days after submitting application online, and was called for a phone screening. After passing that, was sent to Pasadena location for an in-person interview, which was basically a few questions and then immediately showing me the ins and outs of the store. Was called the next day for an offer and start date was immediately given for the next day.

Very simple, straight forward questions such as describing a time you had a conflict with a customer, what you did to resolve it, what are your strengths/weaknesses, etc.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Houston, TX) in Mar 2022
Interview
My interview was over the phone and was very easy and flexible. I had to submit a resume online and complete a survey and the representative got back to me in a day.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Charlotte, NC) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied online and a day later received an email to set up phone interview. The phone interview literally was ONE question which was what was my availability. That’s it. After that I was told I was moved forward and receive a call from HR located in the store i’d Be interviewing at. I was called a day or two later and went in a few days later for an in person interview. The interview was very laid back and relaxing. They asked behavioral questions and also questions about availability. After the interview I was told I’d Hear something within 48 hours. 48 hours passed and I received a call from a different manager and she said that they had a few more candidates to interview and they’d call me back soon. A day or two later they called me to offer me the job. I accepted and she said she’d call me back to give me a start date. Weeks passed and I didn’t hear anything so I called myself. I was told that they didn’t hire enough people so I should be start the end of the month which was a week away. Still nothing. I called when that time frame passed (at this point I’m actively looking for a new job). I was then told by Hr that she spoke to the manager that hired me and they liked me but they went through a “system update” so there for they couldn’t put me into their system until the week of April 1st. I was told to call April 1st and they could get me started. At this point I’m still looking for jobs and having no luck. April first came and I called. I was then told that the system update wouldn’t be until the following week -_-. So after still having no luck finding another job, I called the next week as instructed. I was told “well the managers finally did the system update and I can’t say that their priority right now is hiring” thankfully I got hired somewhere else but I don’t appreciate this company wasting my time and I’ll never apply to work there ever again and idk about even shopping there
