I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Mar 2014
Interview
Applied online, went through all the questionnaire stuff, got an e-mail for a phone interview that lasted 10 minutes, went to my interview, I was interviewed by the Service experience Manager and Store Manager separately. The interview process was really long because she walked em around the store showing me what all the departments did, and kept asking if I had questions, which made me feel like I had to come up with some. Didn't hear back for about 2 weeks then i was told I got the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you went above and beyond what you were asked to do.
It was a simple phone call where they asked about my availability and whether I was able to work on certain days and at specific times during the week. The conversation mainly focused on scheduling and making sure my availability matched the needs of the position.
The interview process was straight forward, only one interview. The questions are simple, and after the interview I was to put together two different outfits for different events. That was the conclusion of the interview and then heard back two days later about proceeding.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (San Diego, CA)
Interview
Went in on one of the hiring days before holiday season, did an interview on the spot and was hired. Very simple process, low stress. The manager was very nice.
