I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Scottsdale, AZ) in Aug 2011
Interview
Apply on-line, the on-line application asks for your general employment background and it really helps if you can attach a resume. The Nordstrom on-line application is unique as they don't outsource this responsibility to a human resource service (e.g. Kronos.) Then, unlike other companies, I was contacted by an actual human in the HR department for a personal interview. The one on one interview was very personable and informative. The HR department really made me want to work for Nordstrom. The same day, I was interviewed by a department manager and offered a position.
