Interview
It is now open interviews but when I interviewed it was a quick phone interview and then a face to face interview. The interview process was pretty typical as far as a retail interview. They do ask questions about customer service and competition. Nordstrom strives because of its great customer service and you must be able to work in a competitive team environment. After my interview with HR I met the manager of my floor and she went through a selling drill. This involved picking out three pieces and selling them to her.

A few questions with someone then you’ll meet with a manager in a department they think you would good for. The department manager had me pick out an outfit for a pretend customer and describe why I picked certain items

Normal behavioral questions and questions related to retail experience/interest in fashion. Nice interviewer was low pressure experience. Interviewed by department manager. Heard back day of interview and started training very soon after.

Applied online. Got an email about a week later. Went in to a Seasonal Hiring Event. Interviewed with a manager. Most questions were situational questions. Very easy process. Offererred position on the spot.
