I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Norfolk, VA) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online through a job website, then immediately received an email about scheduling a phone interview. I went waiting for the phone call but before hand, I planned out my answers to basic interview questions which helped greatly once the time came. I was interviewed very briefly for about a little over 5 minutes and the woman was very kind but quick with her questions for the time allotted. At the end, she let me know that she was interested in hearing more from me so she said she would call me back to schedule an in person interview. I received the call the next day and scheduled the in store meeting. It was a group interview that day but we were separated individually. The woman who interviewed me was probably the nicest lady I've met in an employment setting. She was very informative and enjoyed what I had to say when I was describing my experience with children and dealing with parents in a retail or personal situation. My experience with kids and my nieces really helped a lot in me getting the position.
