Short, fun to pick out an outfit/ explore the floor. Fun environment. Don’t really remember since it was years ago. Had a good BP selection. Music was always the same/ repetitive
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Jul 2013
Interview
Brief phone interview and if you come off normal there is an in person interview. They are very comforting and welcoming. After sitting down and talking, we went to the department I was interviewing for and we did a mock selling skit. Within two days I received the offer and started two weeks later.

I received a phone call from HR and had a brief chat then was invited to come in for an in person interview. a couple days later I came in to answer like 5 easy no brainer questions provided by the dept. manager. there was a sales simulation where the dept manager asked me to dress her for a wedding. I picked clothes keeping in mind, the season we were currently in, colors that would compliment her, and body shape... also said flattering things

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2014
Interview
The process started out by me applying online. A few weeks later, I received an e-mail requesting to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty easy going, the interviewer was very nice and stuck to typical questions about experience and why I would want to work for Nordstrom. At the end of this interview, they offered me the opportunity to interview with a manager at the store in my area. I received an e-mail with steps to schedule the in-person interview. It took place the following week. The interview started out with typical interview questions regarding experience and situations I may or may not have experienced in my past jobs. Next, we went to the sales floor and I did some role playing activities with the interviewer. I was called and offered a job a few days later.
