The overall process took about two months. I applied for a position and was contacted by a recruiter via email about two days later. After emailing about the position, she set up a phone interview for me with the VP of Marketing. The phone call with him went well and he said the recruiter would follow up with next steps. She followed up a day or so later, saying the VP now wanted me to speak to other members of the team. This seemed normal and good to me, so I was on board. Again, another good phone call with the Visual Lead and, again, I was told the recruiter would follow up with next steps. A few days later, she emailed to say that I now should have a phone call with the newly hired Marketing Director. The conversation seemed to go well, though he asked a lot of questions that wouldn't seem to apply to the position I was applying for (a lot of analytics, marketing questions) and the call ended that the recruiter would be in touch. A week or so passed and I had not heard from her, so I sent a follow-up email just to check in on status of job. I received a bounce back email from the recruiter that she was no longer with the company and to reach out to her out of office, which I then did. Not even two minutes later, I received a short (kind of rude) email from another recruiter with a generic "good luck on your job hunt" kind of message that one would get had they not gone through about 2 months of phone interviews and email correspondence with various members of the company. All in all, it left a really poor taste in my mouth. I believe if you are going to have an applicant go through rounds of interviews with several employees, you should treat them with a bit more respect, especially if they have no idea the recruiter they were working with abruptly left the company. I wish Trunk Club well but I hope this isn't how they conduct all interviews.
