I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Vancouver, BC) in Jul 2015
Interview
Applied online in June 2015, got a phone interview the next week from HR with basic questions/sales background. Shortly after, received an e-mail with in person interview date for late July 2015. In person interview consisted of two managers interviewing for two rounds, asking scenario/personality questions. Role playing exercise consisted of pulling an outfit for a specific customer, then selling it to two managers, explaining your choices. Last interview was set up via phone for the week after. Consisted of one on one interview with a department manager, then a 30 minute group meet and greet with the store manager. Offer went out via phone + email the next day.

Question 1
If a customer were to be interviewed about your service, what would they say about you?
Your client, Sarah, has just been hired at a major finance firm and needs clothes to wear for the office. She is young, trendy, and a professional, who doesn't want to blend in with everyone else. Pull an outfit for her (top, bottom, outerwear, shoes, bag, acc etc.) and explain your choices. Sell the outfit.
One of your customers calls in, upset that a sensor tag has been left on one of her garments. She lives an hour away from the closest store and does not want to drive all the way out just to get it removed. How would you remedy this situation?
A few questions with someone then you’ll meet with a manager in a department they think you would good for. The department manager had me pick out an outfit for a pretend customer and describe why I picked certain items
