I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2014
Interview
Mix of group interview and 1:1. Overall met with 6 people total, mostly asked about experience and told me what they were looking for in this position. First met with recruiter and had 2 group interviews and a 1:1, and finished with recruiter again. Listed off all the responsibilities they wanted this position to take over, kind of seemed a bit unorganized at the time because everybody was late for their scheduled interview time.

Question 1
What is your experience with the flash sales business?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by the Hautelook recruiter Marie. She emailed me and asked me if I was ok making 13.25 an hour and once I confirmed then we would continue the process. I confirmed via email and she gave me a call and asked a few general questions and then set up an interview to go to the office for an interview. She emailed me the times and people's name I would meet with and again asked that I confirm receipt of email. During the interview I met with a panel of supervisors and then the sr dept manager afterwards. I was given an event to proof where I basically found the mistakes (spelling, grammar, units, contents) of the printed out photo example that I was given. It had many spelling mistakes and then basic errors such as the title was "wood" and then in the description the product was "metal."

Question 1
How are you will follow-up and email communication?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2011
Interview
I don't know of anyone who was offered this job who was not a Specialist or in an interim position before. This is a hard group to get into from the outside. The hiring process is slow, I had to follow up a few times before my start date. There is no formal training, it is very much a sink or swim situation. If you are fortunate enough to sit next to someone who has been there a while, they typically will be happy to walk you through any issues.

Question 1
There were not a lot of questions asked when I got hired, they mainly told me in my informational interview what the job is and if I had any questions.
