Interview
I basically met with the manager and interviewed for about an hour. The manager asked me a series of questions to determine whether or not my personality and sales style were suitable to the department. To get a job at Nordstrom, it's very important that your personality fits the department to which you're applying. Thus, before applying, I would walk around the store a bit. I would also hand my resume to the manager in person. If you can't do that, then how effective will you be at approaching strangers on the sales floor?
A few questions with someone then you’ll meet with a manager in a department they think you would good for. The department manager had me pick out an outfit for a pretend customer and describe why I picked certain items

Normal behavioral questions and questions related to retail experience/interest in fashion. Nice interviewer was low pressure experience. Interviewed by department manager. Heard back day of interview and started training very soon after.
