      Retail Management Interview

      Mar 1, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Cerritos, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Cerritos, CA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Applied online and received an email notifying me that I was chosen to do a virtual interview. The virtual interview was awkward. There is a video recording of one of the reps asking you a question and you have limited time to record your answer to that question. Then you move on to the next question and repeat the process for a total of about 5 questions. Your computer must have a webcam but I think you can use your phone as well. After that, I received an email notifying me that I moved on to the 2nd interview which was in person and took place and a Nordstrom store. There were about 6 total people who were being interviewed for the same position and 3 interviewers. There was one HR rep and 2 department managers. They took us in 3 at a time. And each interviewers was paired with one interviewee. I was interviewed by one of the department managers. Overall, the in person interview was a lot easier than the virtual interview. I also felt very prepared so that may have contributed to the fact that I thought it was easy.
