      Assembly Operator Interview

      Jan 20, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Paris, IL
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at North American Lighting (Paris, IL) in Aug 2014

      Interview

Hired on through Unique Temporary Agency. I was not interviewed at all by North American Lighting, only by Unique Temporary Agency. I was called in on Thursday to interview. No interview was conducted beyond "Do you own steel toed boots?" and "When are you available to begin?" I was then told they did not know when North American Lighting would be hiring again. I received a call the next day to tell me that a position had opened up and they needed me to start Monday if i still wanted the position.

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at North American Lighting (Paris, IL) in May 2015

      Interview

First they contacted me via phone call, after that they scheduled a one on one interview. I met with one of the Human Resource representatives to discuss wages, benefits and other technical information. A week or so later they called me in for a second interview, this time with a member of the floor staff to explain what sort of work I'd be doing. A couple weeks later they called me to confirm my position. All new hires were required to undergo a 2 week training course.
