I applied online. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Ashburn, VA) in Sep 2018
Interview
I applied to a posting on Indeed. Setting up the interview in Ashburn went fairly quickly. The in-person interview began with the systems engineering dept. head. He yawned continuously without covering his mouth or apologizing, but otherwise seemed OK. He left and was replaced with two other interviewers. They asked routine questions. I heard nothing a week later, so I emailed the HR person. She phoned me and apologized for the lack of response in writing, but when on to explain, "We felt you are not exact match at this time"... blah, blah. At a certain point in life it becomes a bit dishonest to talk about where you want to be in 5 years or 10 years. It's unfortunate that many organizations are unable to "handle the truth."
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very much softball questions: "What would you like to be doing," "Where would you like to be in five years," etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
Thorough and standard interview to assess your level. Mainly asked me to introduce myself and what kind of experience I have. After the interview, I was given an offer in a week.
had a call with Hiring manager and we discussed projects and coursework in wireless communications, some behavioral questions, why the company, and in general it was pretty standard interview for an entry level role
Applied online, got a screening call, then a phone call/teams call with a team of engineers who asked technical and behavioral questions, then got offer after this was all done.
