I applied through the Northwestern HR page. I was emailed about a week later about setting up a brief phone interview, which took place another week later. The next day I was invited for an in-person interview the following day. After not hearing back for several weeks, I inquired and was informed I did not get the position.

Asked questions regarding research experience, asked to discuss things apart from resume. Spoke particularly about experience with language in a social context. Discussed why I wanted the position and spoke about interest in sociolinguistics, experience with creating language, participating in spelling bees, taking sociolinguistic coursework. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
