Interview process
I went through more than five rounds of interviews for a role at Notion, and I can honestly say it was one of the most thorough and well-organised processes I've experienced. Each stage had a clear purpose and was thoughtfully structured.
What stood out
Every single person I interacted with was warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they do at Notion. The recruiting team was incredibly communicative throughout — I always knew what to expect next and never felt left in the dark. The questions were thoughtful and actually gave me the chance to showcase my experience in a meaningful way.
A little extra touch
I also received a thoughtful gift during the process, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. Question 1
The questions covered a wide range of topics — from my professional background and hands-on experience, to the way I currently work and collaborate with teams. I was also asked about how I learn new things, how I teach and enable others, and how I both give and receive feedback. There was even a practical element where I had to prepare and walk through a demo, which gave me the chance to show my approach in a real-world context. It never felt like a standard Q&A — more like a genuine conversation designed to understand not just what you've done, but who you are and how you think.
