On my first meeting with the hiring manager she was very nice and welcoming, and told me she was interested in the person and skills more than the experience (the advertising didn’t ask mandatory experience in the field). I really liked her and I felt we had a good connection. After that, I had several rounds of interviews and I spent more than 6 Weeks in the selection process and at the end they told me they preferred someone else. The reason given was that they had considerable experience in the field. I felt really confused and disappointed. If the experience level was important for the selection criteria, they could have saved mine and their time and not move forward on the first Interview.
