I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nucor (Charlotte, NC) in Jul 2024
Interview
I was contacted through email by the 'HR & Benefits Supervisor' of the Charlotte, NC location to schedule an initial phone screen lasting 30 minutes, after 1 month of submitting an application online. The questions were robotic and impersonal as if being read straight down a list. The person interviewing would have been the reporting manager of this position, and had zero personality. After answering the drills, I mean interview questions, I asked when I could expect an update and she replied 2-3 weeks since people were now heading out on vacation. I sent a thank you follow-up email a few weeks later, never received a reply, and never heard back at all about a decision or status of the job posting. Ghosted. A complete waste of time for a candidate and overall a pretty lame experience. There's no excuse for ghosting people who display interest in your company and who also made time in their schedule in response to YOUR job opening.
