I was referred to the role and heard back within a couple days from the hiring manager, which was really impressive. I was really excited to continue with the process, after having been referred a few times a couple years back and not hearing anything. During the interview, the hiring manager suggested I might be a better fit for another role they were looking for, and I agreed, but the next steps would have been the same. After I spoke to the hiring manager, I was moved ahead to the assessments stage and completed them quickly. But then I never heard back from the company again, even after a couple follow-ups. I even let them know when I was at final rounds at other places and when I got an offer, but it was crickets from the recruiting team. I'm really disappointed I was ghosted like this.
