      Java Developer Interview

      Oct 5, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Numerix

      Interview

Went through onsite technical test and technical interviews 1-1 with 2 staffs there. Passed the interview but then HR didn't agree to proceed with my package. Very bad experience as recruiter knew my expectation and salary range from beginning and went ahead calling my reference despite I insisted it to be done as final stage. Also, during the interview their "java architect" kept saying HashMap is not a collection in Java!!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

MCQ technical test. Not difficult but very tricky. You can easily get it wrong. Many questions are on String modification and threading.

I believe your experience was unpleasant due to the third party agency that you used to represent you. I have heard miscommunication can happen very often when applying this way and not directly. In addition, HR does not decide if an offer will go out it is the hiring manager that recommends a candidate for processing IF their skill set is appropriate for the role needed.
