There were three phases to the interviewing process. First, there was a phone call I received from a recruiter (it was about 5-10 minutes). Then, I was scheduled for a first interview with the immediate manager of the department I would be working in which lasted for about an hour. The questions consisted of simple background information questions (college major, university, interest in data analysis) followed up by abstract questions about what I would do in a given situation, my ideas of how I would pursue my work, and other relevant questions. After the manager was done asking questions, I was asked to field some questions of my own. The first interview was concluded by a short personal conversation.
For the second interview, I talked to a higher-up in the company (a higher-up hiring manager) and went over basic information again and was asked about how my past work in Tableau through my other projects could be translated towards extracting useful business insights. After that, I was once again asked to field some questions of myself. This interview lasted approximately half an hour.
