I applied online. I interviewed at Nutanix in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process was fairly straightforward, requiring discussions with various team members in Product Management and Engineering Orgs. The discussions were mostly around behavioural questions, few technical questions and some Product Design questions. Overall the conversations were helpful in understanding the company culture, the product and the role.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix in Aug 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out over the email and asked for time slot for a quick screening call. I provided time slots for next 3 days, recruiter didn't call any of those days. But then after a few days I got call from the recruiter and asked to share the resume. Then followed interview with hiring manager it was mostly around past experience and knowledge of the technology they are trying to build. Next day I got an email with take home assignment. This was bit of a surprise for me, because recruiter didn't brief me about how their recruiting process works, how many rounds they usually take and kind of evaluation. None of these details were shared. Even for the take home assignment there was no connect from recruiter about what is expected etc. I asked few clarifying question for which I got standard response that make all the assumptions. I completed assignment and sent it across within timeline agreed upon. I didn't hear back from recruiter for a day. I was curious that there was no response, so I emailed recruiter about any update. Recruiter responded asking for assignment submission. This was again a surprise for me, just a day earlier I had already submitted it. Looks like he didn't even check his emails. This was the first red flag for me. I sent screenshot of the email for reference and proof that I have already emailed him the assignment. He asked to resend it, I resent the assignment. A day after I got email to present the assignment to a 3 member team. On the day of presentation one of the panellist didn't join. This was second red flag for me. Not sure if they were really interested in moving ahead but just doing it for the sake of it. The two panelists were sitting quite throughout the presentation, almost zero interaction. At the last, there was a question from one panelist which gave the impression why are we even solving this problem, but that is what the assignment asked for. Both of them were more cautious about the clock and wanted to finish the conversation as soon as they can. Almost no time was given for me to ask any questions or even they were not interested in asking any question. I thought it was just a formality to complete the round and be done with it. Next day I got standard rejection email. It was complete waste of my time, I spent 3-4 days doing research, coming up with deck, aligning all frameworks etc. I felt there is not much product culture over here and there is no evaluation process in place. They don't even have courtesy to share a the feedback in a better way when someone has spent several days working on the assignment.

Question 1
General questions on past experience, Nutanix cloud technology and take home assignment for a specific B2B segment - analyse current competition and come up with a proposal for the product.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix in Sep 2021
Interview
4 rounds. First a phone screen with recruiter, next a 1:1 with hiring manager, then five 60-min interviews with stakeholder team leaders, and finally a 45-min presentation with a 15-min Q&A with a team of PMs.
The reason I am disappointed in the overall experience is that between these interviews and pretty demanding presentation, I spent 24+ hours preparing for these rounds. Yet, when it came to my final response from the recruiting team, I got a standard form rejection email from their application platform. I understand that I may not have been the right candidate for them, but to not get a call or at least personalized email explaining their decision seemed really rude and is a poor reflection on the company.
