I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2018
Interview
The process began at a job fair at my University where I talked with a recruiter. They reached out over email and scheduled a 1st phone interview, and then a 2nd a week after that. I actually had to reschedule the 2nd phone interview last minute, which the recruiter was happy to do.
The last interview was at Nutanix where I had 4 interviews, with lunch in between.
The recruiters were exceedingly accommodating with my schedule, and the interviewers were very friendly.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Suffice to say the phone interviews were typical technical questions, and the onsite were still technical, but more specialized to the team for which I was interviewing.
One interview at Nutanix was with the manager, which I enjoyed the most. It's format was very open, where I got to pick their brain about Nutanix's culture, how employees are reviewed, etc.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Nutanix (Vancouver, BC) in Jul 2026
Interview
Screening call -- Pretty straight forward discussing roles, responsibilities and how the interview process would look like from there onwards.
Preliminary F2F interview -- Mixture of networking & coding round. Mainly concentrated on previous experience and few basic concepts. This was concluded by a simple coding problem related to binary trees.
I was ill prepared and most of my answers were half right and I couldn't clear this round.
Nevertheless, both the HR & interviewer were friendly and interaction was smooth.
If I had cleared this round then I would have faced 2 more core interview rounds, followed by Hiring manager and lastly HR round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Multiple Previous experience questions.
2. Coding problem: Given a Binary tree, find a given element and if found return the level at which it's found at.
In total I had 4 interview rounds, which are described as follows.
Round 1: Screening- Two coding questions, one easy and another medium to hard level coding question, both of which I solved. Basic questions on Python and Kubernetes.
Round 2: Technical (Face-to-face)-2 to 3 Coding questions of medium level. Scenario based questions according to profile. It went on for another hour.
Round 3: Technical(Face-to-Face)- Real life based problems asked including some questions on Algorithms.
Round 4: Behavioral(Face-to-Face) It went on for 2 hrs. Questions mostly on previously done work and revolve around how much understanding and experience you had in past.
All the interviewers were friendly and welcoming. I instantly loved the culture when I walked into their office. It was my dream company and I got selected :)
