I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (Bengaluru) in Jan 2021
Interview
Long and repetitive - 7 rounds.
2 rounds ds-algo, 1 round spring/boot, 1 round design/problem solving, 2 rounds managerial.
felt like too long and certain rounds were redundant. don't know what they were trying to extract from the candidate.
ds-algo was of medium-tough complexity, spring/java round was basic but detailed, design round was medium complexity.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
find 3 numbers in an array of numbers with the given sum
The interview process consisted of multiple rounds, including an initial recruiter screening, a hiring manager discussion, and several technical interviews. The technical rounds focused on distributed storage systems, Linux internals, troubleshooting, Python automation, test design, and scalability challenges.
The interviewers were professional and knowledgeable. Many questions were based on real-world scenarios involving storage clusters, debugging production issues, and designing automated test frameworks. There was also discussion around Ceph, file systems, performance bottlenecks, and cross-functional collaboration.
The overall process was thorough but fair and gave candidates a good opportunity to demonstrate both technical depth and practical problem-solving skills.

1 tech coding screen once passed another tech screening, HM talk, and two system design rounds. HR does not give a lot of information about what to expect. Overall not too difficult, focus more on system design. If you are not Indian they will not hire you.
