I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Nutanix in Apr 2014
Interview
Looking to relocate and found a Pre-Sales position in another state. I reached out to a former colleague who works at Nutanex and they submitted a referral with my resume.
I was quickly contacted by the hiring manager and had a conversation regarding the job and territory. All went well. A week later I had lined up 3 additional interviews, one of them technical. All went well. I heard nothing. Noticed the posting was renewed. The fact that I was looking to relocate seemed to be against me but it was to a region I was very familiar with as I had lived and worked there before. I contacted HR since the hiring manager did not respond to my email's and calls. Apparently the manager was away and would reach out when he returned.
Once he was back I was scheduled to talk to the Sales Rep that covers the territory. We had a great conversation about the role and selling. I have been in sales for many years so this was a breeze. I was in the finalist group at least.
Again, nothing for weeks. I was house hunting where we were looking to relocate and emaiedl the hiring manager with that info in case they tried to call my home and we were not there. I gave my cell in case he needed to reach me. No reply from the hiring manager. We found several house options and i was waiting for the offer to pull the trigger. Still nothing. I reached out again. Still nothing, no response. I was obliviously not their first choice. I got the feeling that they did not want to deal with someone relocating.
Finally, a month after my last interview I get an email, not a call from the HR person or the hiring manager, which is totally expected when you get this far down the road, but a generic email thanking me for my interest but no offer.
This was by far the most disorganized and somewhat unprofessional process I have ever encountered. I still think that they have a great technology. Their hiring process... meh!
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nutanix (Philadelphia, PA) in Mar 2022
Interview
This was the worst interview process in my 25 year career in IT. Over the course of 3 months I did no less than 16 virtual interviews with various team members--Recruiters, Hiring Managers, other SE team members, sales team members and regional directors. I was bounced around between 3 different regions and teams requiring me to start the process over and over again! One recruiter completely ghosted me and another treated me like I was a nuisance to their day. After finally contacting the hiring managers the process went back on track, with a "final" presentation, after which I was told I was the final candidate. But then told a new hiring manager was just added to the team and had to screen me--so yes, yet another interview. After which I'm told they're still waiting to make a decision. Was really excited about this company but now it seems like it's too big and can't move nimbly.

Question 1
Describe my past experiences with Pre-Sales
Present a technical subject to a panel of team members
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nutanix (The Hague) in Jul 2021
Interview
The process from start to finish involved 4 separate stages. After each stage (interview) I quickly received feedback from the Nutanix recruiter and a confirmation that I progressed to the next interview. This process took 3 months to complete. It could have gone faster but the July and August summer vacation period slowed it down.
Formal communication was handled via the jobvite portal but the Nutanix recruiter was also reachable via private email and phone.
Within 3 days after my last interview (panel session), I got the good news that I "passed" and an offer was coming my way. Which it did after just 2 more days. My contract was sent 2 days later, which I digitally signed... and that's it.
I am very happy with the process that was followed. Thank you, Nutanix.

Interview
Contacted by phone via the account rep that I would be supporting first after he received my resume from the hiring manager for SLED West. We did lunch which was proceeded by phone calls from both the SE Manager and Director for SLED West. This turned into a lunch meeting with management after the call. Had a phone technical screening with another SE and then moved forward with the hiring process.
