I applied through a friend referral for MTS position. I had about 15 years of software development experience. The recruiter was very nice and coordinated the process perfectly, the phone screen was very nice and reasonable. The on-site interview was bad.
The employees work there had the sense of pride, as a successful start up company, they are probably close to IPO, and the product is competing with EMC already. And some of their initial crew came from Amazon, google etc, so they sort of think they are better than google, or will be the next google, plus they have free food, free snack and drink, probably the pay is good too. Most of the employees are indian, then chinese, hardly can see faces from other nation.
The interview questions are not hard, lots of white board coding covers algorithm, data structure and OS area. 2 of the interviewers are new joins, one joined a few weeks back which appears very nice during the interview, one joined a few month back. I was interviewed by 1 chinese engineer and 4 indian engineer, the hiring manager (indian) was suppose to interview me but he didn't show up due to some customer issue, so i didn't get chance to meet him.
I doubt any hiring manager would make an offer without a face to face interview, so i think they probably already had some people in mind, they just want you to come to make their company looks popular those sort of thing.
By looking at the employee reviews, it is all positive, i assume the company had asked their employee to post positive review for their company. (i know some small company do that).
Overall, i think this company is not that honest, it is not easy to get an offer.
