I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
Really well organized. I liked the breadth of interviewers as it allowed me to gain view multiple perspectives on the employer and the role. I also liked the fact that it was well structured and I always knew what the next step in the process would be. The actual offer production was very quick - there was no "I'm waiting on 1 more approval" delays which provided tremendous reassurance that the company was committed to hiring me.

Question 1
What is the one trait you would like to see yourself improve upon?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nutanix (Philadelphia, PA) in Mar 2022
Interview
This was the worst interview process in my 25 year career in IT. Over the course of 3 months I did no less than 16 virtual interviews with various team members--Recruiters, Hiring Managers, other SE team members, sales team members and regional directors. I was bounced around between 3 different regions and teams requiring me to start the process over and over again! One recruiter completely ghosted me and another treated me like I was a nuisance to their day. After finally contacting the hiring managers the process went back on track, with a "final" presentation, after which I was told I was the final candidate. But then told a new hiring manager was just added to the team and had to screen me--so yes, yet another interview. After which I'm told they're still waiting to make a decision. Was really excited about this company but now it seems like it's too big and can't move nimbly.

Question 1
Describe my past experiences with Pre-Sales
Present a technical subject to a panel of team members
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nutanix (The Hague) in Jul 2021
Interview
The process from start to finish involved 4 separate stages. After each stage (interview) I quickly received feedback from the Nutanix recruiter and a confirmation that I progressed to the next interview. This process took 3 months to complete. It could have gone faster but the July and August summer vacation period slowed it down.
Formal communication was handled via the jobvite portal but the Nutanix recruiter was also reachable via private email and phone.
Within 3 days after my last interview (panel session), I got the good news that I "passed" and an offer was coming my way. Which it did after just 2 more days. My contract was sent 2 days later, which I digitally signed... and that's it.
I am very happy with the process that was followed. Thank you, Nutanix.

Contacted by phone via the account rep that I would be supporting first after he received my resume from the hiring manager for SLED West. We did lunch which was proceeded by phone calls from both the SE Manager and Director for SLED West. This turned into a lunch meeting with management after the call. Had a phone technical screening with another SE and then moved forward with the hiring process.
