First off, I'm a former employee, love the company and the product, use and support it on a daily basis. I left on good terms and have confirmed with hr that I am listed as rehirable.
In march of this year, I heard from a friend and current nutanix employee, there were some positions just opening up that I would be a good fit for. I spoke with the hiring manager that same day, and my friend sent me an internal recruitment for Sr. Customer experience architect. I applied that night, informed my friend and the hiring manager and waited.
I received message from recruiting/hr that they were moving forward with my application and would schedule my interviews starting the following week.
Week after week for 9 weeks, I reached out to the recruiter asking for an update, scheduling anything. I received one update halfway through that time period requesting my availability to interview.
Three weeks later, the first recruiter contacted me, apologizing for the delay and their coworker was now handling the recruitment for this role and was cc'd on the messaging.
This second recruiter and I message a few times that week and he scheduled an interview with himself and the first round with a current CEA employee at nutanix.
The next day, both meetings were canceled, apologizing and would be rescheduled.
I reached out for an update the next Friday, do not hear anything.
That next Monday I received the "we had more applications and are not selecting you going forward" email.
The level of unprofessional and disrespectful process here is not what I've come to expect from nutanix.
They obviously don't go by the honest, humble, hungry and heart motto and mentality anymore.
Had I actually been interviewed and given the opportunity to either be successful in the interview/hiring process or failed miserably, I'd be fine with that and would not be posting this. Maybe with next, the hiring team was overwhelmed, however the lack of communication and follow through and ultimately canceling the interviewing without actually speaking with me is absolutely insane.
Thank you for the time if you end up reading this.
