Due to some shifts within the team structure, we unfortunately have to put this role on hold. You made a positive impression with our team, and if this or another role becomes available, we would like to reconsider your candidacy.
Thank you again for the time you spent interviewing with our team, and we hope you'll stay in touch for future opportunities.
All the best, "
After 8 weeks and 7 interviews, they did not have the decency to pick up the phone and CALL me to apologize. I dedicated so many hours to prepping for this company. All of the interviews were 30-60 minutes long and there communication between interviews was extremely minimal. I enjoyed talking to each person even though the overarching message was 'we hustle here. we're heads down most of the time. are you ready to work hard?' which not only felt like they assumed I wasn't a hard worker but definitely showcased a toxic environment. A few months later they reached out and asked if I was still interested in the team but at that point, I was not able to take anything on in a full time capacity so I suggested a project rate.
I sent them a proposal after a long call and never heard back.
Honestly, what a sour taste to put in my mouth of a product I really respect. No respect for me or the time I dedicated to them.
