Candidates who were shortlisted were invited to a case preparation webinar and assigned an “Associate Buddy,” who was available to answer questions about the firm’s culture, role, and interview process.
The first round consisted of two separate 30-minute online case interviews with different interviewers. The cases were relatively standard and manageable if you had done sufficient case preparation beforehand. There were no formally assessed behavioural questions; behavioural questions such as “Tell me about yourself” were asked primarily as icebreakers, but it is still advisable to prepare for them.
The second round was conducted in person with two partners. The format was similar to the first round, with two case interviews of comparable structure, although the cases were slightly more challenging. Overall, there was no major structural difference between rounds apart from the seniority of the interviewers and increased difficulty level.
After receiving the offer, the firm connected candidates with new associate buddies who were available to answer further questions. They also organised a celebration event for all offer holders and arranged a personal lunch for each candidate to learn more about the firm. Overall, the post-offer stage was very supportive and provided valuable insight into the firm, its people, and its culture.
