Fairly standard online application process with SHL-like testing. Replied after 5 weeks, with invitation to first-round interviews. The first-round interview was a group study where we were given 20 or so pages of slides with information about our company (a fashion retailer) and the fashion retail industry in general. We were supposed to ascertain what strategic direction the client should take, whether the client should go online, etc, then present it to 3 consultants from OC&C. Standard case interview, but the main challenge was time management and consolidating everyone's different inputs. Most interviewees in my batch were from Oxford, Cambridge and the LSE, and though I'm from one of these schools I felt the culture was a little snobbish. The consultants we presented to were aloof and distant, and one swore quite badly at us during the presentation. I understand the whole "good cop bad cop" approach, but I felt the hostility was excessive. After the presentation (where we were shot down the whole time), we had a networking session over coffee with some of the other consultants. They were a lot more pleasant but didn't seem very enthusiastic about their job. Still, definitely nice people who would make the working environment bearable. The 6 of us interviewees then had to wait around for a call back to the office for final round interviews that same afternoon, knowing 2 out of 6 would be picked for the final round.
