I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OEC Group (Rosedale, NY) in Sep 2015
Interview
I applied for the Ocean Import Specialist position. Over the phone I was told that I would be trained and that at the end of training I would be chosen for the Traffic Import Coordinator or the Ocean Import Coordinator, and that it was clear just by my background that I would be a better fit for the Ocean Import Coordinator. During the interview, the HR Representative who initially had the phone screening with me, stated that they are only really hiring for the Traffic Import Coordinator position. I found it weird how I wasn't told that before going into the interview. The interview was a group of 4 people and they were clearly confused about what I was saying because one of them stated "did you read the requirements for this role?" I thought I was going in for a different interview than I did. The phone interview started 15 minutes late, the in person interview was 20-25 minutes delayed. Wouldn't want to work for this company anyway at the end of the day.
