OEC Group Outside Sales Representative interview questions

2 Phone calls both with the sales manager. There were supposed to be several people on both calls but I was told the hiring manager went home sick. I was told on the 2nd call that he would like to bring me on and make me an offer but I will need to have a call with the hiring manager first. The hiring manager call was never scheduled and I received an email from HR saying they decided to go with someone else for the position. It was the first time that I've been told on an interview that they would like to make me an offer, and then never scheduled any follow up. I felt it was a very unprofessional way to handle the interview process.
