I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OKG in Jun 2024
Interview
My interview experience at OKX consisted of two stages. The initial call with the recruiter was smooth and informative, providing valuable insights into the role's scope. However, the hiring manager interview was less positive. The manager lacked strong communication skills, and the interview felt impersonal and rushed, resembling a one-sided interrogation rather than a genuine conversation.
Additionally, there were two red flags that gave me pause about the company culture:
- Potential Request for Salary History: The company may request your previous employment payslips, a practice that can perpetuate pay inequity.
- Always-On Work Culture: The hiring manager emphasized the 24/7 nature of the work, mentioning frequent calls with colleagues across different time zones, which could lead to burnout and a lack of work-life balance.
Overall, while the recruiter interaction was promising, the hiring manager stage and the concerning red flags left me with a negative impression of the company's culture and work environment.
The first round of the interview is with HR, and they will briefly ask about your employment background. Please introduce yourself and explain why you want to join this company.

Good interview process, Initial rounds were friendly conversations for me to share my experience. Eventual senior person could not speak English, But eventually after getting to the final round, was not clear why I did not get the job
